Should be a high-tempo matchup against the Flames tomorrow night at 10.

Also, how sweet has the TSN coverage been. Super-nice having competent play-by-play, colour commentary, intermissions, and pre-game coverage. I can't say enough about how big an improvement this all is over Sportsnet.

Flipped over the the Bruins/Habs games a few times last night to catch "Yorkie" providing the colour commentary...egads.

Sens should try to build up a lead in warmups and the 1st period, as they'll probably start going to bed sometime in the 2nd.

It's been a lot of fun to watch.  Still need to take these games and breakdowns and try to learn from it though.  No use shrugging it off, they need to address the brutal defensive lapses and learn how to limit them.

They don't shrug it off, I do. I do because it's pretty obvious what's being said in that room and the lessons the team will take from that.

Game against the Flames will be tough... not sure there is a tougher out in the NHL right now than the Flames. They have their moments where they have breakdowns like the Sens but they will not be a push over, are playing well, well coached, 23 players pulling the same way, and a solid work ethic. Big fan of how that team is being built right now, exactly like the Sens for the most part and having a guy like Giordano turn out to be perhaps a top 5 D man in the game doesn't hurt along with Brodie turning into a reliable, very solid #2.

Always used to prefer the Oilers to the Flames for some reason but I have no real alliance... like the Flames simply because they are being built the correct way.

By the way, late night for the Sens as they had plane issues, eventually ending up staying overnight in Edmonton and then taking a bus to Calgary in the morning. Lazar tweeted this lovely picture from the bus:

I actually felt bad that he likes hockey so much but actually truly knows that little.

Yesterday he was puzzled why the camera was on the other side of the ice at Rexall. You would think an Oiler fan would know that already

Apparently the latest on our #2 is that he's seen a specialist who told him it was all soft-tissue.  I always thought "soft tissue" referred to muscles and such, while the rest was bones (of course) and ligaments.  So soft tissue damage would be, primarily, bruises, muscle tears.  Most bruises heal within a week or two (bruised heel being one notable exception).  Hoe long for muscle tears that don't require surgery?  He's been sidelined since around Sept. 25.  That's *7 weeks*!

Can anyone think of what kind of "soft tissue" issues (initially believed to be back-related, more recently they've said back/hip) that would keep a top professional athlete on the sidelines for what will be close to 10 weeks (if not longer)?

As much as I dislike twitter and the players doing it (call me old school) that is pretty funny.
