Can't fire Captains, they sink with the ship.

If we were out of the playoffs, maybe. And it would have to be for more than that.

Zibanejad didn't see much ice time from thd mud second on. Or if he did he was invisible.

Do you mean from them or from us? I think that we're getting ripped off in that deal

This is exactly what I meant.

You'd have to be Cussing brain dead mind Cussed challenged as Diddle to think that Murray would ever be willing or in a position to take on Brian Campbell's salary.

Willing maybe, in a position, not so much. I'll let my fellow GMH members decide for themselves why.

As per Brock Wallace, I assume it would be owner-imposed budget restraints.

That was a TERRIBLE game by the sens. Maybe terrible is too strong a word but they still got alot of work ahead of them. And if/when ppl take their anti-spezza glasses off, they'll see that several other players are struggling as well. Not saying spezza is playing well by any stretch, he's not the same and no good stride or protection in his game, but turris also made some terrible giveaways. He recovered later in the game but that was a terrible first period by the sens.

Cowen, gryba were both awful. Karlsson wasn't very good last night either. So much blame to go around instead of just on spezza's back (pun intended). Lehner saved us. Classic let down game by the snes. None of us should be happy with that effort.

I won't agree or disagree. The budget subject is often met with hostility.

I'll take the odd "TERRIBLE" game like that if it still results in a 4-1 win. Games like that are going to happen.

How was Cowen awful last night?

They won by 3 goals. How is that terrible?

Lehner was good but the shots weren't indicative of the play. Lehner didn't steal it.

Yeah, terrible is too strong a word. Yeah, they didn't play great, but it was a step above some of their previous efforts.

If you want to take this whole thing a step further, you could say the team hasn't been playing great for about a year. We've received top-notch goaltending and timely scoring, but as a whole, it's still a young group figuring things out (coach included).

Probably the type of D man they need right now but the salary is hefty.

Also, Huberdeau isn't going anywhere lol.

Sens are inconsistent... shocker they are the youngest team in the NHL.  I guess if the game was played without goalies then the Sens would have been killed last night.

I thought Cowen was fine as well... him and Karlsson didn't really allow a lot of quality chances while they were on the ice.  The only line that really struggled was Spezza's, they couldn't get out of their own zone 90% of the time.  That's where a lot of Montreal's opportunities came from, that line is being dominated on a nightly basis.

Does no one else find it somewhat concerning that every player they put with Spezza, that player struggles? Ryan, Michalek, now Zibabejad who came in flying to start has slowed right down. Maybe the Sens don't need wingers for Spezza, maybe the Sens need a center for their wingers.
