Rundblad's pass was what got that goal going.
That was a good shift all around. Started with a DaCosta steal and lot of second efforts by all 5.

People were on Murray about giving Greening and Condra 1 way deals... well he looks like a genius at this point. Both those guys are really solid hockey players.
Da Costa was awesome
Spezza looked ok, wish he would play a road game every night, he's a better player when he does that.
SpezDispenser wrote:That's some storybook Dung for Da Costa right there. Rundblad too. Both of them making loud statements tonight. Love it.
Safe to say Gonchar's back now, or is it too soon?

Murray did the smart thing flushing the season when he did and giving looooooooong auditions to Greening and Condra among others. Those signings were close to foolproof.

That first goal was a stinker though. No worries, nobody remembers Dung goals when you win.
That play was dead until Rundblad made an insanely prescient interception (I don't know how else to describe that right now...I'm a little drunk. Bottom line, just intercepting that pass takes tremendous hockey sense). To then draw both defenders to him and dish it back to Alfie before the FLA player that was out of the zone had a chance to make himself relevant, that just made it one of the most outstanding plays I've seen from a rookie defender in a very very long time.SeawaySensFan wrote:SpezDispenser wrote:Honestly can't believe that happened. He's back, him and Cowen look like they have a ton of chemistry and are really getting a feel for each other now. He's controlling parts of the game again.

Maybe it's just me, but I find Cowen to be the least confident that I've seen him since his first couple of games. He's getting there, but I find he took a step back the last couple of games.
