Filatov sent to the AHL

Not sure. I liked how he looked in pre-season a lot. Game 1, he was okay in, Game 2 he was invisible, but I thought he'd be given a solid 6-7 games before a choice was made.

As I said in another thread, he got beaten out by Greening + Da Costa, but the dude didn't get much of a look in the NHL.

Meh...w/e, I'm sure he'll kill the AHL.

He got beaten out, exactly. He looked great in the pre-season and still didn't score a goal. He needs to find a scoring touch and he won't find it in Ottawa. Needs to be built back up. Columbus screwed him up in a lot of ways.

Filatov, maybe Rundblad soon, too. Bingo is going to be kicking a$$.

oh I don't know about this. could of been given a few more games. I hope that we do send Zbad back to sweden where he can learn to dominate and filatov comes back up at the 9 game mark.

Kinda figured this would happen.

He probably won't be back unless injuries hit. Assuming Zibby gets sent back to the SEL, Butler will take his spot and I think he'll keep it.

Unless he falters it'll take an injury to call up Filatov (and they may prefer to bring up Petersson).

At least he has a friend down there in Gratchev .....

Did they ? He looks scared out there, I'm concerned the NHL is too physical for him.

Nice passes but afraid to shoot. The fact that an 18-year old is ahead of him in NHL-readiness is pretty damning.

The SEL isn't that much different than the NHL in terms of 18 year olds being able to dominate.

No, I meant more along the lines of AHL-for-life. We won't know that answer for another 5 years...
