Huh, I don't know that much about him or any other goalie coach. I like proven winners though.

Any word on his replacement? How about going with a familiar face like Rhodes or Tugnutt (is he still doing the broadcast gig?)

I don't care if it is someone with a history with the team. Looking at the history of Sens goaltending, I'm not sure any of them knew that much about the mental makeup of the position anyways.

At least hire someone who has played the game at a pro level. I don't know who is available nor who would want the job.

You have your pick of any retired goaltender I would imagine. Tugnutt, Rhodes, Cujo, Hasek....

God no, I was waiting to see who would notice that in there.

Although...I would actually think about signing Hasek as an interim goalie coach and also at the league minimum. He's having a hell of a year in the Czech league or wherever he is - and he's still 10 to 1 the best goalie ever to lace them up for us.

Oh, he was amazing when he played for us. And he's one of the top-5 goalies of all time, if not top-3.

Still, the sour ending of the relationship and the...ehrm....unusual technique he has as a goalie makes me question whether it would be a good fit.

And I don't know if he'd be interested, anyway.

I tell you, if we were serious about, you tell him that you want to try him as goalie coach and also you were wondering if he would think about suiting up for maybe a game or two.

His style is a HUGE issue though. Can you imagine Lelcaire or Elliott taking pointers from him.

I heard that Ed Belfour quit his job with the Dallas Stars yesterday. Can anyone confirm this?
