That book is so useful not only to breach the wall of a castle, but to make you understand that everything is attainable :D:Cronie wrote:Ahh! Sun Tzu and Nietsche's Superman are two books I read and re-read constantly.
You, sir, have good taste!
I think i must read a little of Neitzche,s work ,i knew of him but if what u say is true, and my fondness of exploiting the weak it will be some good reading for me. :D: On the sens side the draft lottery is on the 14th a little something to look forward tooCronie wrote:Exactly. and I find personally, the combo of Sun Tzu and Nietszche's philosophies compliment each other VERY well.
Sun can show one how to expose a weakness, and more appropriately, turn ones own weakness into a strength; whereas Nietszche's work(s) show how to pinpoint every person's weakness and uneasiness.
I am SO stoked for the next season to see what Clouston and the boys are capable of. Man, what a LOOONG wait October will be.
Thank god brian isnt going any where he will turn this thing around,he is a brilliant strategist in my mind .Jbo probably most likely isnt coming here but he will just as he did with cambell ,sundin, hossa look to make sure one of our competitors burn a lot of cap room to get him.Misdirection is one of his favorite ploys whether its drafting or signing free agents, love him :D:Neely4Life wrote:Now, Clouston is extended, we have a starting goalie, Murray isnt going n e where, we can talk about who is on their way out from that top line. My guess is it wont be Alfi haha.
Iam thinking spezza might be gone also.I think this is why murray didnt give him the nmc right away he will bring what we need less flash more team in return.God thank you yashin for being a doushe and thank you milbury for being dumb :D:Neely4Life wrote:Yup, I'm 100% confident in Murray. It took a while to get the right coach, but he did, and the end result is more important than the actual prossess it took to get there. He didnt waste 4, 5 or 6 years.
Now, its time for Murray to make the big decision! My guess (unless Heatley has asked to be traded) is that Spezza is out the door because the contract he signed (in hind sight) is about 1.5-2 mil too much and there is a good possibilty that someone with a little less skill and more heart can put up 80 points between Heatley and Alfi. ( A chimp can probably do it).
If they cant sign J Bo, there are other ways to aquire a D man that can play big mins in every situation.
Neely4Life wrote:Take a guy like Fisher who has seemed to start to develope some chemistry with Heatley. They dont look bad out there together and Heatley has looked a lot better with him than he has all year with Spezza.
Also, a guy I would love to go after up front this off season is Chris Higgins. He is begging for a fresh start and can play in every situation. Look no further than Ryder for a good example of someone who needed to get out of MTL. I think Higgins would fit in nicely in Ottawa.
I like him for the second line ,but i think LA has a few pieces that would make us forget about spezza, start with our first and spezza flipping for la,s first one of thier top defense prospects and a second good forward prospect, sounding good :D:Neely4Life wrote:Take a guy like Fisher who has seemed to start to develope some chemistry with Heatley. You know, that wouldn't be all that bad. Fisher would excel if he got to play a full season with players like Heatley and/or Alfredsson. We would then be able to have more depth. I kind of see where you're coming from.

Neely4Life wrote:Exaclty, you have seen in the last 2 or 3 months the real Fisher. He has got to play with some skilled players and he has played well and produced at a more than respectable rate. He wont put up Spezza numbers, lets not kid ourselves, but he will make the other teams pay on the ice, be tough to play against every night, and he lets the other team and players know that the Sens are there to play so get ready to pay the price.
Like I said before, I will take a team of Fishers over a team of Spezza's any day of the week. Especially with the grind of a lengthy regular season like the NHL has.
