'Insiders' have been busy missing the two biggest deals in years today.

Per a couple of reporters, it is not a sign and trade.

Funny how the hockey insiders didn't get a whiff of these deals. Ya gotta give Poile in Nashville some serious credit...dealing both Jones and Weber over the past year for other stars.  The oldest of his top 4 D is now PK at 27.

It's such a good day to laugh at other Canadian teams.

Edmonton got fleeced when they should of received more in return.

Toronto had their hearts and dreams fleeced when stamkos gave them the cold shoulder to stay in Tampa.

Montreal lost Subban which is likely to be better than Weber in a few years but as EV stated it makes it pretty obvious that he was a cancer in the locker room.

And maybe we can laugh a little as Detroit prepared to land stamkos by clearing cap space for a player that will never come.

This is comedy gold!

He's still good and will play in a division that is likely going to be a little less hard on him but there's no disputing that he'll be a diminishing player in terms of performance.

They are a few years away from having their new D man make the jump and Beaulieu will hopefully just replace Markov.

Funny but people in Montreal are trying to sell each other the deal but there's an underlining of disgust going around.
You and I know PK was problematic but they loved him. This is great.
They also think they can be a win now team.

Not a cancer, but the room was divided. Some thought strongly that PK should have been given the 'C' (including PK himself). I said it when Patchy got the 'C' that the room would be divided. They may have to purge some more players.
