"Montreal Canadiens General Manager Pierre Gauthier, announced today that the Club has bought out the contract of forward Georges Laraque."

Buying out Laraque costs the Habs $1-million and is spread over two years. It'll be a $500k cap hit until end of 2011-12 season.
