He's doing okay apparently - as well as possible after that. So that's a huge relief.

I hope so. The O-Sens were not very galvanized by Coach Richardson's tragedy.

Just a little different (a lot different).

Yes, different in several ways. Still a shock to the system at a time when they need their undivided attention on something else.

Cowen *is* on the plane to Houston. Game 7 -- if necessary -- is scheduled for Thursday, so unless this is gamesmanship on KK's part, it means he does not have a concussion.

Don't look now, but Lehner has a .939 SV%, second only to the Penguins' Brad Thiessen at .940. He's not going to catch the leaders in GAA but he's got a good shot at catching and passing Thiessen.

They were for the first game after they heard of that tragedy.

After the funeral was when they fell apart... understandably.

Stirling is doing as well as expected... so let's hope they do it for Steve....

Players can't fly with a concussion, right?

If we had a good coach at the time it might have. I can just picture Clouston during this difficult time ....

They can't *play*with a concussion. They can't fly with a bad cold/stuffed sinuses. However if a concussion has been diagnosed he has to be (from memory) 10 days symptoms-free before he can resume on-ice workouts. With the last possible game being 3 days away, if he's on the trip he can't be on the 10-day waiting period, hence no concussion.

OK, let me correct that -- no diagnosed concussion. Or KK is playing games, which is not entirely out of the realm of possibilities.

Yeah, I just like typing.

I thought they couldn't fly with concussions either.

I've read that it's dangerous to fly within a few days of getting a concussion. Can't say for sure though.

I don't think so, because people fly to see concussion specialists when they are concussed.

I'd read the same as Strach, but either way I just hope it's not a bad concussion. We don't need that with Cowen, that's for sure.

Sorry as much as people don't like Clouston... he was visibly upset by the Richardson tragedy. In an interview was seen with tears in his eyes. He may not have communication skills... but he does have feelings.

It was an act, robots don't feel emotions.

I was a big Clouston supporter until it was obvious that we needed someone who could communicate much better than he could.

With that said, you can see someone like KK bringing the troops out of something like that with a little more gusto than Clouston - although Clouston had a huge tragedy to contend with.
