The Crushin' Russian(s)?

It would appear that Babcock finally found the right linemates for Crosby and just in time for a big matchup vs. the Russians. Goaltending seems to have been solved as well with Luongo sporting a 1 GAA.

Despite the Germans being a weaker opponent the Canadians didn't appear to let off the gas too much in their 8-2 pounding of their opponent last night. I think the message was clear that the Canadians aren't about to take any team lightly from here on out. Things should really start to get intense especially with the rivalry that has developed between Canada and Russia.

Pretty meaningless; it's not like it's the same guys playing over and over again ...

Maybe someday, thanks to technological advancements in medicine, that will be possible.

3-2 Canada. I think the Canadians dictate the tempo in the second half of the game and come back from being down 2-1 to win it in regulation.

Why the sudden optimism? I thought you felt the Russians were an extremely strong team?

Yeah, like those Maple Leafs teams that kept beating Ottawa year in and year out. The players don;t matter, it's the psychology of it.
