Anyways, IMO, tomorrow looks bleek for Canada, they wont be able to roll 4 lines, I question if they will be able to role 3.

I think you need to swallow you're pride tonight and admit you were wrong about this 'strong German team'. There will be plenty of time to gloat about how smart you are when we lose to the Russians Olympic Game Day: Canada vs. Germany 7:00PM EST. TUE. Feb 23, 2010 - Page 5 270956

I thought they would be better then this for sure. I wont be gloating if Canada loses tomorrow, there will be enough people ripping that team apart and Ill just read on.

Anyways, I thought Germany would def put up more of a fight, but it was close for 2 periods.

I hope this means they trust Luongo enough to open up offensively. I think it has more to do with the Germans simply not being a good team, but we will see.

Pretty much man, nothing from this game can be taken and be related to The Russian game tomorrow. "They have to shut down The Russian forwards like they did The Germans" ?

Canada hasnt beaten Russia since 1960...? Well, that doesnt bold well either.

USA hadn't be Canada in mens olympic hockey in around thirty years, so it's plausable and really german's or not, the Canadians have looked much better tonight (minus Pronger Olympic Game Day: Canada vs. Germany 7:00PM EST. TUE. Feb 23, 2010 - Page 5 489887 )

I will say, very unclassy fans chanting Nah Nah Nah Nah goodbye Olympic Game Day: Canada vs. Germany 7:00PM EST. TUE. Feb 23, 2010 - Page 5 489887

Ya, seriously. Congrats, you knocked out Germany in a game you shouldnt have been in, lol. Then chanting we want Russia. Dont think the players want Russia in the 1/4 finals.

Just curious, have you watched them? They've looked anything but impressive so far in this tournament. They were lucky to get 4 points from Slovakia and the Czechs because based on play they should have got none.

Call me crazy, but I'm not scared of this Russian team. I'd much rather play them than the Swedes or Czechs (maybe the Fins too).

Russia has been playing like we all thought they would: like individuals. It's not like they dominated the Czechs, and they lost to a supposed inferior Slovakian team.

Russia's goaltending and defence are still not going to scare anybody, and their KHL lines are rather weak.

No shot I want to play that Russian team if Im Canada. The matchup IMO does not favour them

The Czech's and The Slovaks both play a very responsible defense first kind of game. The way The Canadian D men pinch in, join the play, and get involved, that could go the other way.

The Russians are probably the worst team to play in terms of how they match up. 3 or 4 goals probably wont be enough to beat Russia.

It's going to come down to Bobby Luo and Nabokov.

Both their goalies could very well be Vezina candidates. If anything Russian goaltending is going to be a strength. The KHL lines are also very solid and probably better then most teams 3rd lines in the tournament. Where do you actually get this stuff from?

Absolutely.

Is Nabby going to be the starter? Bryzagalov is probably the better goaltender right now to be honest.

Say what you want about The Russians, but The Czechs and Slovaks are two good team with solid goaltending, defense, and offense. It's not like they were playing The Swiss.

It's Nabokov's job, and we all know how Nabokov fares when the chips are down!
