Whatever, as long as JOe Thornton has as many assists, we know they won'T do jack in the playoffs.

I don't mind 4 assists for Thornton -- he was my 1st round pick in the pool.

Update on Donovan:

Clouston:Donovan has MCL and ACL damage in right knee. He will rehab 6-8 weeks and then test his knee to see if more is needed.

Dany Heatley scored PP-SH-EV goals Friday night. Heatley became the first SJ player to score a hat-trick that way since Cheechoo on Dec '05.

I stand by my prediction of Heatley scoring lots - until the Olympic team is announced.

He'll finish in the 50-55 range, just like he did in his first year in Ottawa.

The playoffs are a totaly different world. Players have to grind, hit, and give 100% at both ends of the ice.

Yep, pretty much says it all. Michalek is on a 41-goal pace, even if he's not getting a lot of assists. Once Spezza gets moving, look out. Michalek plays all situations, something that Dany never did (at least not well). And after next year Cheechoo's contract is gone and we will fully realize the benefits of that trade.

All eyes will be on Heatley and San Jose in the post season. The pressure will be INSANE by then.
