Or Duchene.

I don't think we can really afford Duchesne past the next 2 years. Stone, Turris and Karlsson all need new deals as well as a starting goalie. Pretty sure Duchesne won't sign anywhere for less than 7M.PTFlea wrote:Or Duchene.

You better get ready to only draft in the 4rth and 7th! All aboard the summer duch duch train!
Thats it. The chances of even any of those picks turning into duchene is minimal.spader wrote:Flo The Action wrote:spader wrote:Well, I'm glad they got something back for Lazar. I'd be all in for that as well. Prospects are great, but if either of those picks turn into a player like Duchene, we'd be happy anyway.
I disagree with your Habs statement, I believe the Sens have better depth now.wprager wrote:Ho hum.
Sens got a tiny bit better, faster.
Habs got a lot bigger, slower; likely have the best fourth-line depth in the Atlantic
Leafs -- doesn't matter what they did; they'll get their Calder Trophy and another chance at the lottery when all is said (sad) and done.
Boston got an aging Stafford. I don't even know where he slots in. The TSN analysis says he'll do well with Boston's strength at center. Is he even an upgrade over Jimmy Hayes (2g, 5pts) or Riley Nash (4g, 7pts)? I guess a little, but their bottom six is still suspect.
Panthers got either an upgrade on offense or a headache. Remember the Vanek to Montreal deadline trade? Funny, I didn't think Florida needed forward help. Their offensive issues have a lot to do with injuries to Huberdeau and Barkov. I think this deal kills the Leafs' chances as the Panthers will surely pass them now. Give it a day or two.
Now that's just stealing my analysis with the Perron comparisonswprager wrote:Listen to the Dorion interview. @TSN1200 probably tweeted a link. I think the 2nd year of that extension is the overpayment. I really like Burrows, he's hard to play against in big games. Good point by Dorion about him being on the room when guys like White come up. And Giving up Dahlen is of little consequence. Perron is a similar player, won league MVP in the Q, not that different from Allsvenskan.

Is the Q similar to Allsvenskan? I doubt that personally, but I don't know enough to comment.

A lot can change from season to season, I haven't Cussed around with cap numbers in so long, but if there's a will, there's a way. I'd work that out when the time comes.
