Well that's SJ's doing.  Murray just has to make a trade and Michalek will either say yes or no.

If he has a NMC and waived it to come here, is it still applicable?

anaheim might not be interested in the summer. they are clearly gunning for a cup run this year. they think they lose out in the Kesler trade this could be their plan B.
for sure I don't see spezza actually getting moved but stranger things have happened.

so what would be the return? silf, Noeson and a 1st?

I don't care what the salary is (short of it being insulted) Phillips should be taking the 2 year deal.

If Michalek had a NMC with SJ, he waived that when he was traded here (and I don't think he had one to start with). When Heatley waived to be traded from here to San Jose, his NMC/NTC vanished. That allowed SJ to deal him to Minnesota.

Oh god, if we can trade Spezza today, I'm almost willing to overlook the fact that we're going to miss the playoffs.

Michalek was too young to have the activated NTC when he was traded, only took effect in Ottawa.
