You named players that didn't work out, not bad trades.  Try again.  Michalek, Cheechoo, and a 2nd for Heatley.  Worked out great for the Sens so again, you have no clue what you're talking about.  Who the hell did Shannon even get traded for?  Played more games in the NHL for the Sens then whoever buddy went to.  Filatov for a 3rd... yah awful deal, let me know when 1 of those 3rd rounds picks play in the NHL.  Cullen was solid for Ottawa, Lapointe went for a 5th... so yah again you should head back to HF where posts like this live.  Awful on your part.

Yeah show me a GM where every trade works out. Trades are a crapshoot, you can't predict how it's going to work out, all you can do is take smart risks.

I don't think any of Murray's trades have set this team back if they didn't work. Leclaire was the worst but we got Lehner in that deal. Bishop might be an embarrasing trade but we'll see if he's only a flash in the pan. Ryan might be a bad trade.

I'm also afraid Ryan isn't enjoying himself enormously this year that he might want to check the market. sorry to say but i don't want the team waiting to next years trade deadline to flip him if we have to. we all saw the little returns players got on failry big assets. Vanek???? that's crazy.

Karlsson, traded up 3 spots to draft franchise player and potentially generational talent.
Ryan, stud winger.
Bishop, traded for a 2nd round pick (amazing you forgot to mention that one)
Methot, amazing deal

So yah, I mention franchise altering trades, you mention deadline deals where players are exchanged for draft picks. Next time come with something a little less ignorant because you don't sound overly educated on the subject.

I would put the return the Canucks got for Luongo on the sort of 'poor' side for how good Luongo can be..

What they got back for Luongo is fine because he was thought to be untradeable, the issue in Vancouver is the complete mismanagement of that team and franchise by Gillis and trying ti justify moving 2, #1 goaltenders for what turned out to be Horvat, Markstrom, and Mattias. All could be decent pieces but wtf?! what did he do to that franchise? Next out the door is Kessler.

can't imagine Tim Murray is dum enough to think that BM would trade Lazar. that's just not happening. and Tim should know that. now he's not traded him. let's see what happens with him going forward.

I still can't believe Van traded away Schneider and Luongo in such short time... this is clearly a sign that a full on rebuild is under way.

Don't think the full rebuild is on, they still have a strong defense, the Sedin's, so it's not hopeless and they can obviously be competitive.

BTW based on what St.Louis said in the letter to his team and fans and what Yzerman said... sounds like he's banging someone down in Tampa and the wife wants him home. Pure speculation.

Tim Murray couldn't have been asking for anything like lazar. No chance he was. I think he was pushing for Puempel/Stone and prince and Murray didn't want to give stone or Puempel. That's my guess.

I think they are super high on Peumpel honestly. He's having a great rookie season in the AHL.

He just got his 20th I think. Not bad at all.
