Weber to Edmonton makes so much sense if they are willing to give up a couple good pieces... it would probably be something like...

Eberle, Yakupov, Petry, and a 1st

for Weber and Wilson.

They've been building from the back out for 15 years.   It ain't working.

Besides, part of building is knowing when to use an asset to take the next step in your building process. Maybe that time has come for young Weber.

When was the last time a team traded a perennial Norris candidate and made themselves better?

I don't know why Nashville would trade Weber, but if someone offers them something amazing, he doesn't have a NTC/NMC.

Get a new GM that isn't old and tired and revamp the offense. Trading Weber is a recipe for disaster IMO.

Penguins Paul Martin is out 4-6 weeks with a broken hand from the Olympics. Letang is already on the shelf indefintely. Will they look to add a d-man? Sources say....nothing yet. But I say, stay tuned. More to follow.

Are they going to win a cup with Weber? No chance. His value will never be higher and with solid D in Jones and Josi, a franchise goaltender in Rinne, you need offense. That offense can be solved for a decade if they move Weber for what he's worth. Holding on to a guy who has that much value and you will NEVER win a cup with is just stupid.
