Leafs gave up Corrado and got Fehr, another player, and a 4th rounder. Good move by the Leafs.

Seems like the bolts ended up paying a conditional 7th rounder to get rid of filpula's contract. Not bad when you count the implication he had over the expansion draft.

All and all a Dung trade deadline day but a busy 3 days for the sens. Can't say I'm not excited to see the next sens game though. We paid a price but we likely got better. I wonder if that second rounder could have been paid instead of dahlem to Vancouver?
Im not gonna cry since I had my own reservations about dahlem but it will be interesting to see what that 2nd rounder is.

I don't think we can really afford Duchesne past the next 2 years. Stone, Turris and Karlsson all need new deals as well as a starting goalie. Pretty sure Duchesne won't sign anywhere for less than 7M.

Habs got a lot bigger, slower; likely have the best fourth-line depth in the Atlantic

Leafs -- doesn't matter what they did; they'll get their Calder Trophy and another chance at the lottery when all is said (sad) and done.

Boston got an aging Stafford. I don't even know where he slots in. The TSN analysis says he'll do well with Boston's strength at center. Is he even an upgrade over Jimmy Hayes (2g, 5pts) or Riley Nash (4g, 7pts)? I guess a little, but their bottom six is still suspect.

Panthers got either an upgrade on offense or a headache. Remember the Vanek to Montreal deadline trade? Funny, I didn't think Florida needed forward help. Their offensive issues have a lot to do with injuries to Huberdeau and Barkov. I think this deal kills the Leafs' chances as the Panthers will surely pass them now. Give it a day or two.
