Meh. The Sens were a bit flat. They had lots of chances but no finish. I don't have much of a problem with that assessment.

Yeah, they need to come out and smash some Pens and drive the net on Vokoun more than we've ever done it. Get right in his face - and on PPs, I want someone to eat Mexican all day today and tonight and literally spritz Vokoun with diarrhea. I want him to suffer on the PPs, look through a big body and get farted on.

I remember the first season that they had him on the PP and it looked like he might reach 20 goals. He can score. He isn't consistent enough for PP1 duty, but who knows what they'll try. I seem to remember seeing Greening out for the PP last game!

BS. Shannon was good, but he didn't drive the net at all like Conacher. Also, Conacher hits more than I've seen Shannon and Petrov ever hit combined. He doesn't give a Dung at all. Big guy? Who cares, you'll see him hit him. Little guy, even better. In front of the net? No problem! Hit him all you want, he'll just bounce back up.

I think under Mac's direction this kid will be a LOT more like Gallagher than he will Petrov or Shannon.

As much as I loved Gallagher (as much as you can "love" a player on an opposing team) I definitely noticed how he cooled off after the first 2-3 games. There is only so much abuse a small-bodied player can take -- and he took a *TON*. Methot and Cowen may not have had much luck moving him out from in front of the net, but all those cross checks, and also all the hits against the boards must have taken a toll. He simply wasn't effective in the last two games, certainly not to the same level as he was in games 1 & 2.

Me too. Philly has a hell of a shot and he gets it through to the net often. He creates chances. After EK and Gonch, we're light on PMDs. Phillips may not be ideal, but he has a very underrated shot.

He's good at sneaking into open ice as well.

When's the last time the Sens had a forward on the point on a PP? Has ever done that?

The Alfie had a couple stints on the backend of the PP units this year...nothing prolonged though. You could always go with Gonch/EK and then Philly/The Alfie...or Cowen/The Alfie.

Alfie played a few shifts on defense, nevermind the PP, in game 3 against the Habs.
