Go back to Michalek - Turris - Alfredsson. I think that last period was basically Butler's last chance, if he gets a last shot, it's this period. He's not doing it at all.

Ummm, no. Greening is way ahead of those guys, hell, Daugavins is ahead right now.

At least a guy like Ruutu you have a real chance in resigning.

Might have to load up the Michalek - Turris - Alfie line for a while.

Maybe try Foligno and Condra/Greening up with Spezza. I'd take any of them over Butler right now.

Hate to say it but Semin could be a target if they could guarantee a re-sign, or if they don't give up a lot for him. Not a big fan but who knows how he would do if he gets away from Ovie and the Caps. He is a one-shot player and could be a difference maker.
