Second hardest slapshot to Carkner.

That's a filthy wristshot as well, unlike Fisher's it's actually accurate. He's already sniped Gustavsson and Markstrom with it.

Teams take on the personality of their coach. Unlike Clouston, MacLean actually has a personality.

It's a huge thing. That and having young bucks like Greening, Smith, Condra, Karlsson, Rundblad etc. The Leafs got badly outplayed tonight and were lucky to even be in it, we were constantly pressuring them. This team may crash down a bit, but they won't be outworked anytime soon. Fun! Ahhhhh!

Ironically the guy that kept them in was also the one who lost it for them. Such is the life of a goalie.

A couple of really smart plays by Daugavins, who seems to have found some nice chemistry with Neil. The pass to Neil as the trailer that Gus stopped was a beauty.

And that goal by Greening puts him in 3rd place in rookie scoring to only Luke Adam and RNH. Tied for 2nd in rookie goal-scoring with Landeskog.

And Rundblad's assist ties him for the rookie lead for D-men with 3.

Where do you check rookie stats?

There's a filter at the top called Status that lets you check rookie stats.

I never noticed that option before. Thanks.

Because Da Costa needs AHL time sooooooooooooo bad?

He was great against Florida.

Filatov played 5 minutes tonight. No point in him playing here if they're gonna give him that much time. I really think they would like him to stay down there longer. What exactly did he learn or prove in 6 games?

They can do whatever they want as long as they keep winning!

Well, that was a good game to be at last night.

1. I have never seen a team so happy to see someone score their first NHL goal. I'm actually pretty sure they had sex after the goal, that little celebration lasted forever. Either way, those guys have all played with Daugvanins for a few years now so that was real emotion and real happiness for the guy. This team is just what it should be, a team and last night you could tell. That's what will get this team through the year and into the playoffs.

2. Greening is a FUKCING BEAST!

3. Lehner, looked a little shaky at times but for the job done and made some HUGE saves.

4. Spezza. That is the type of game I was looking for from him. What does he do when he doesn't produce? Oh, he plays perfect hockey. Impressive to say the least and one of the best games he's played all year, yet no points.

5. The pass from Rundblad. He actually did that. Only way you could make a pass longer than that is if he was sitting in the stands.

6. The PP is insane. Gonchar and Karlsson have perfected it for the most part. It's going to be tough to stop all year long.

7. The PK. Night and day from the begining of the year.

8. The neutral zone play by the Sens is just unreal. Thank God Colorado and Philly totally exposed them early on, since all that happened no teams have been gaining anything through the neutral zone and the just go back and counter all the time. Like everything else, impressive.

9. Neil is playing fantastic hockey, not sure what else to say.

10. Kuba and Gonchar. If they continue to do what they are doing, man, Ottawa's blueline is going to be just great going forward. We'll see how the season plays out and how successful they are but if this keep up, neither of those guys are going anywhere.

they rewarded the guy for hard work by being the first call-up. He's going back down for sure if and when Alfi is back until then though... he may stay in.

Kuba looks like a different player out there. Good news.

Nice to see this team coming together as a team... night and day difference from the start of the year... on the Fan590 this morning I think it was Scott Morrison they had on as the Hockey Insider. He talked about the meeting MacLean had with the players before this winning streak started saying he laid down some rules for all the players, established the roles he expected of everyone and just made sure they were all on the same page. He made it clear that he wasn't expecting all the new guys to step in and "save the day" every game, nor was he expecting the veterans to carry the team every game. He just wanted everyone to play well and play as a team. Seems to have gotten through.

Disagree. He looks like the player he was for the past 12 years.

Friggin' Sportsnet can't resist dampening the Sens win... check the title:

"Sens' soft goal enough to beat Leafs"

No respect!

Embrace it. This is the way it should be. Let everyone look the other way and let Ottawa and the Sens shove it right down everyones throats.

Well, that's pretty much what happened. Although we certainly deserved to win that game, it was a very soft goal that did it.
