GAME DAY: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Ottawa Senators - 7:00pm ET - SAT. Jan. 1 2011
"Should old acquaintance be forgot?"
Umm, sure, whatever, it's up to you; just make sure that covering the front of the net don't be forgot.
The Ottawa Senators (16-18-5, 37 pts) host their provincial rivals, the Maple Leafs to ring in the New Year. Last night Winchester and Kovalev were ringing the pipes, with a cross-bar and a left-post, respectively. As a team, the Sens sucked for nearly two thirds of the game, getting behind 0-3, before storming back to tie it up with 1:11 to go, on a goal by #11. Good on the Sens for managing to salvage a single point, but that could have been a win. Read my analysis of the losing goal in yesterday's GDT.
Please don't ask me to write any update about the Leafs. They suck like us; closer to a lottery pick but, with three games in hand, that could change.
