Rock bottom is when we're in 10th or 11th place and it's too late to make up ground to get back into the playoffs.

If you can get anything for Kovalev, take it and let the new GM spend it in the offseason.
Honestly, I don't want him re-signed unless it is for 3M or less. Trade him before the Olympics (because the way things are going, he'll get injured in Vancouver and leave in the summer).

Nobody will take Kovalev (I know it's your money Eugene, but c'mon man!!).

Nobody will take Cheechoo.

I only have 5 untouchables on this team:
Alfie
Phillips
Fisher
Regin
Karlsson

Everyone else can go. Right now.

While I can in no way defend this brutal display of hockey.. can I remind everyone of who we're missing. I hate making excuses, but let's be honest... We're missing our entire top line, our top defenseman, and Winchester and now Cheechoo..

I'm not sure we can expect much more. Kovalev is useless, I'll agree... and now Fisher is getting a Dung more attention than he's used to.

This is bad luck people, not bad management....

Take any other team in the league, subtract their top 4 players, and see how they compete.

Tyler Seguin please, Hall puts himself in dangerous positions to often and it'll kill him in the NHL.

No chance for a top 5 pick unfortunately. Once the injured players get back, that should be enough to push to the 10th overall pick. woo hoo.

A lot of people on here are Murray fans and like him a lot but he has not improved this roster what so ever since he took over and we have been led to believe over and over that this team is close to being a contender. We are not even close to that. Not with the horrid defense and horrid goaltending.

We need a new GM who has the freedom to do what it takes to rebuild instead of being put in a corner where he has to go out and sign Kovalev and pretend everything is okay. I was patient through all of this but a good defense and good goalie would at least be able to give us a chance every night. Even with all of these guys out. We need a new GM and that's really the first time I've said it.

We're making Pavelec look like the best goalie on earth. He's even got the Sportsnet guys fooled.

I have been a big defender of Murray but this team is being hurt by his biggest flaw, loyalty.

The Neil, Kelly, Kuba, Fisher contracts are strangling this team. Sometimes you have to let "good guys" go. I worry he will make the same mistake with Volchenkov.

I miss Hossa, not HeatDouchePrick. We sucked with him, we'll suck without him.

Honestly, dany (who spells a guys name that way), was selfish, slow and lazy. I would rather watch us lose without him.

No offense, but this is Dung.
The new NHL rewards teams that suffer for consecutive years, which you can see clearly in the Chicago's, and Washington's of the league. I'd like to see what anybody else could have done in Murray's shoes. Heatley? Kovalev (who was urged by the OWNER, his BOSS)?

There's not a lot you can do in those situations. I think Murray's done a great job, and if all of these injuries never occurred and we remained at .500 since, we'd be in 3rd/4th place, and nobody would be saying Dung.

Start thinking rationally people.

And no, I'm not related to Bryan Murray

So... a 4-goal period by Kovalev to tie it up? Yes?
