These guys seem incapable of competing in this league. It is embarassing how they simply give up after a bad goal and just check out of the game.

I can put up with incapable, but the last few games they have looked unwilling. It doesn't take much skill to run around and hit a few people -- case in point, Schubert. Not that I agree with what he did, but this is a guy we let go for nothing and he is at least trying to do something. How is the Cheech, anyway? Someone said he came back?

Yes he came back. I would say unfortunately but that would be mean...

I'm actually a little surprised there was a 5 on that hit. Yes, it was bad, but there was no blood and, apparently, no concussion. I think it was 5 because of how Cheechoo went down -- I thought he was really hurt at first. Is a game misconduct mandatory for a major?

Only thing is that Cheechoo was clearrly turned towards the boards. He does not have the agility to turn at the last second. Schubert took two steps with a solid view of Cheechoo's 41.

Seems like these guys are waiting for a scape goat evrey game. As soon as there is an excuse to lose they all relax and point at it. Pitiful!

Sometimes you have to win despite a bad goal. I am starting to get frustrated as a fan.

I'm not suggesting it wasn't a boarding penalty, but with no blood I'm surprised it was deemed a major. It should be, of course, but usually they punish the extent (of the injury) and not the intent (to injure).

True but isn't the 5 minute major a penalty for intent to injure? Wink

Oh man... watching the highlights again this morning... brutal... it just looked like they were making all the wrong decisions all the time... hesitating, out of position, no confidence, no luck, no bounces, no NOTHING.

Why would you do that to yourself?
