The Chirp seems to think we just need to hang in there until the injured players come back. Sorry Chirp but we're just about done by then.

That's because you play with less... errrr... equipment, which means less gets in the way while you are sprawling around. This also allows you to have less fear.

It depends what she straps on doesn't it? Sarcasm Too far?

Not sure why I high fived that. Possibly because firsts are always special.

Here's where it would pay to be level-headed. That's probably exactly what we need to do, but the issue with me is: we haven't been hanging in there, we've been getting demolished.

Now, IMO, it's too late even if Murray wanted to do something. The time to do it was last week when it became evident we were in trouble. Now?...might as well wait and hope we can get back into the playoffs when they come back.

Did The Chirp not notice that we weren't quite good enough before the injuries?

If Murray is just waiting then it's clear to me that he's hoping for the Hockey Gods to get the Sens into the playoffs.

I swear, it feels that way. He's living on a hope and a prayer right now. He doesn't want to trade any picks (good, that's fine) nor does he want to trade anyone of any talent like Foligno (also fair enough), but he won't do the dirty work to find out what Minny would want for Sykora?

Baffling.

Seriously though if he did pull off a trade like today for players of substance that will have an impact then we'd probably hang onto 8th or 9th while waiting for Alfie, Spezza and Michalek to get back.

Edit: I guess the question is: Is it worth it?

Answer: I think to Melnyk and his dwindling season ticket base I think it is.

Define what the players of impact would be.

I was really hoping it would be 4-2 Atlanta so my prediction would be right.

I'll take anything for those guys (I'd like to keep Shannon, but if he has to go so Cheechoo goes, I'm all in).
