"Winless in four... the road trip from hell continues... when will the cavalry arrive?"
The Ottawa Senators (22-20-4, 48 points, 3rd in the Northeast) continue their road trip and pay a visit to the Atlanta Thrashers (19-19-6, 44 points, 2nd in the Southeast) on Tuesday night at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The Sens have lost four in a row and were beaten by the worst team in the NHL on Sunday night. This was coming off a shutout loss on Saturday to the Panthers. This is certainly a low point for the Sens this year with all the injuries and lack of confidence. The Thrashers got spanked big time on Saturday by the Caps and will no doubt be looking to forget that loss when Ottawa comes to town. The Sens have got to keep plugging away and remember all the games they've come back from after being down early. The bounces will come, the injured will be back soon enough and our goalies will get in a groove soon enough. Let's get through this road trip with some gritty wins and get back on track.

According to Mendes, Kuba unlikely to play tomorrow:

"Fisher to see some time on the point on the power play tomorrow. Also, Kuba unlikely to play for a second straight game (upper body)."

Hmmm. I wonder why the practice lines would be:

Kovalev - Regin - Shannon
Foligno - Fisher - Neil

Yet the projected line v. the Thrashers are:

Kovalev - Fisher - Shannon
Foligno - Regin - Neil

Odd.

Because Clouston sometimes mixes it up on non-game days to try things out... and then on game-day goes with his line-up for the night. Just my personal prediction...

Good move. We must keep Fisher on the PP at all costs!

Well Fisher did have the hardest shot at last year's Sens Skill competition. Sarcasm

Let it be noted that it was a snapshot and not a slapshot, folks.

I heard it was a couple of hundred and he was submerged in water at the time.
