From Jason Gregors at the Team 1260 view.

they say shea weber wouldn't be enough??? well tag on their 1st and it is for me....

Heatley wouldnt be enough for Weber, dude is on crack. A lot of people are under valueing Heatley, but thats way over the top.

so weber, their 1st this year and next year? i think weber will become a formidable D-man.

but to be honest i say like you, go for the picks and prospects (preferably L.A.) and go the UFA route for Jay Bo or a proven scorer with a 3 year contract. i would s**t my pants if we could land Kane in the draft. i think in a couple of years he will excell.

No, Heatley and our 1st for Weber. Weber > Heatley (by far).

I don't have time to read through 50 pages, but one of the most ridiculous ones I've seen was from Allan Maki in the Globe and Mail today:

(paraphrased) the winger's trade request has spurred rumours in regards to teams such as Tampa (in exchange for Martin St. Louis and the 2nd pick in the draft)

I stopped reading there, having fainted.

Nono, we would have to give more.

don't let it get out that Heatley is on crack, that might diminish his trade value, oh wait, I didn't say it.

No kidding. Hemsy's contract is ridiculous.

From a hockey perspective, that makes sense, but I probably still dislike Perry more than Heatley. :^^^^:

Why would they trade Hemsky just to take on Heatley.

:^^^^: I gotta say, it's pretty ludicrous.

Not only do we upgrade at wing, and save money, but we add Hedman or Tavares (or Duchene) as well.

C'mon Tampa management! Ahhhhh!

Well, exactly. If anything, you add Heatley just so you can play him with Hemsky.

The league office hasn't allowed Brian Murray to action a trade yet, and I doubt he will jump at the first offer, he will be patient, but let's hope not too patient to lose out on the best deal.

I can't imagine Tampa wanting to take on that much salary when they are trying to dump Vinny already. St Louis is a steal right now and whoever gets drafted 2nd overall will also be a very cheap top; end player for three years.

I can't even dream about it, it's too ludicrous. Hell, I'd do St.Louis for Heatley straight up. Little dude has a much bigger heart, that's for sure.

By the way, here is by far the craziest proposal I have heard yet.

For instance, a team could take Heatley from the Sens but demand
another good player making less money for providing such a service. And
in return, Ottawa might get a sixth-round draft pick. Sound crazy? We
shall see.

I didn't know who Tony Gallagher was before today, but he is a Diddle retard.

I wish there was no cap.

I'd love to make Dany Heatley a healthy scratch for a year or two.
