Lets hope this is Yashin version 2 and we can get 2 or 3 players that will make this organization the cream of the crop again.

Heatley is worse than Yashin by a mile! Yashin was a 24 year old getting bad advice! Heatley is a 28 year old not following it!

Yashin was nieve, Heatley is an a**hole.

Yep, and I expect that he will get the same treatment from Ottawa fans that Yashin got after he left. He fully deserves it for this.

What a piece of s**t Dany Heatley is!!!!

Alright N4L, I have been agreeing with just about everything you have said today, but I draw the line here. Heatley has been nor will he ever be as bad as Yashin. Yashin held out for an entire year in order to get a raise on a contract he already signed. That is pretty much some of the worst sportsmanship in the history of professional sports.

we can only dream, and I believe this is good as a shot as Murray is going to get.

For sure, I think this move will essentially make or break Murray. He can either set the team up for years to come or have them dwindle in mediocrity for the next years.

I don't think I could deal with the mediocrity and the taunting from the Leafs fans if Murray messes this up, he has to make the Sens better with this deal, he just has to.

Sharp, Barker and Versteeg -> I like that deal, but I don't see Tallon doing it.

"Heatley has a 4 million dollar signing bonus due on July 1st, and since you can’t exchange money in trades, you’d expect this trade to occur before then. You’d expect Murray to move him before then, because once teams start to sign UFAs that would reduce the amount of teams that could afford Heatley’s large salary."

so weber, their 1st this year and next year? i think weber will become a formidable D-man.

but to be honest i say like you, go for the picks and prospects (preferably L.A.) and go the UFA route for Jay Bo or a proven scorer with a 3 year contract. i would s**t my pants if we could land Kane in the draft. i think in a couple of years he will excell.

No, Heatley and our 1st for Weber. Weber > Heatley (by far).
