:^^^^: I gotta say, it's pretty ludicrous.

Not only do we upgrade at wing, and save money, but we add Hedman or Tavares (or Duchene) as well.

C'mon Tampa management! Ahhhhh!

I can't even dream about it, it's too ludicrous. Hell, I'd do St.Louis for Heatley straight up. Little dude has a much bigger heart, that's for sure.

By the way, here is by far the craziest proposal I have heard yet.

For instance, a team could take Heatley from the Sens but demand
another good player making less money for providing such a service. And
in return, Ottawa might get a sixth-round draft pick. Sound crazy? We
shall see.

I didn't know who Tony Gallagher was before today, but he is a Diddle retard.

I wish there was no cap.

I'd love to make Dany Heatley a healthy scratch for a year or two.

No kidding. Hemsy's contract is ridiculous.

Why would they trade Hemsky just to take on Heatley.

Well, exactly. If anything, you add Heatley just so you can play him with Hemsky.

So, are you pissed Asq, or what's the deal?

I dare you to look Melnyk in the eyes and say that!

Depends on what deal we get.

We've all known for a while that what we have going in regards to so much money in those guys and no depth wasn't going to work. And I'm happier dealing Heatley than Spezza.

It looks like we'll keep Spezza, but things are nuts right now. Who knows anymore?

Actually, I should rephrase:

Are you pissed at Heatley?

It's definitely not a nice way to reward us for a $45 million contract and an alternate captaincy. I can't really hate him, though, because none of us seems to know the exact reasons.

What I hate is how public this is. I think that gives leverage to other teams.

I thought he was solid. No real mistakes, got in the other teams face. The WJC isnt exactly the North American game either where you can get away with the stuff he loves to do.

Tuebert will be a good pro, he's fearless and I think he would be an absolutely perfect player to pair with a guy like Karlsson or Wiercioch.

Am I the only one who thinks Teubert and Cowen are the same player? Laughing3

Cowen, with a full recovery, should be considerably better.

I really do think this is the best possible scenario for The Sens as a whole. One, we get rid of the cancer that was in the room that everyone was wondering about. Win. We add to the organizational depth with hopefully a prospect and a pick. Win. We hopefully will get a guy that can step right in with the trade and sign another who can play a huge role too. Win.

Heatley moving really is the best possible thing to happen to the Sens. He is useless in the playoffs, a no show when it counts, a piss poor attitude, and basically a primmadonna.

Certainly his agent isn't doing him any favours by stuttering around radio stations making Heatley sound like an ungrateful mother****er.

if it hasn't already, its going to shatter it, and this thread won't be done until the dust settles on the trade, then we will have some aftermath reaction comments for about a week, maybe longer.

I think he was the cancer. Always eyes down with reporters, never accepting any of the blame, Wing Dang Doodle ing and whining to Clouston. Wow. It's probably pretty lucky he demanded a trade.

Still not happy with him though naturally.
