This a chance to change the salary structure and team dynamics. It requires a bold move not a one-for-one swap of forwards IMIO...

Exactly, this trade needs to include multiple parts because the salary structure does need to be changed.

We're losing because we can do better. Perry is a good player and all but we need to take full advantage of this situation.

Ehrhoff is a wicked D-man who had a crappy playoffs. That's the kind of deal I can happening. Great value - potentially a combined 90 points if neither digress, but they're young enough to progress.

Kind of offtopic, but I think Murray might want to try and sign Gionta. He is a top 6 winger, and is very fast, and already has cups, and also given his age, he might sign for a lower value. Though, would he want to leave NJ?

Absolutely. He needs a change of scenery. The only issue is his size. It'll depend on what we get back for Heatley, but Gionta is a great (little) player.
