Not at all. This will re-define the franchise - or Diddle it up.

I am at least as "pathetic" as you. BagoverHead

I vote for SpezDispensers avatar to be adopted as the crest for the Senators third jersey.

Laughing3 My God that would be funny.

where do I sign for that one? they can rotate it in and out with the new black jerseys Laughing3

good start with those 3, Eberle and Hodgson are intriguing as a return from Edmonton and Vancouver. How's the prospects in SJ?

Wow, this thread is getting crazy. My last post was 20 pages ago... I saw some responses about my wanting Rick Nash in a trade, and while I am completely in tune with how ridiculous it sounds for a team to trade its best player, one who is a complete player, more so than the one they'd be getting in return, and who is also their captain, you have to consider a few things:

Nash is a UFA (first time for him) as of 2010-11 season, and having only made the post-season once and getting swept in the first round, it is not hard to imagine he might want to move on (most likely destination though would be Toronto). Plus, if you are Columbus, you have to think that he might not re-sign, and if he does, for how much? With Heatley, you get 5 years at a fair market value.

On the other hand, Columbus can decide next trade deadline to trade Nash if they cannot work out an extension and do not want to risk losing him, and they would certainly get more than Heatley would alone.

But, since this is all speculation/rumor mongering, I still propose:

to CLB:
Dany Heatley
Chris Kelly or Chris Schubert

to OTT:
Rick Nash
+ a spare part they might want to get rid of, or a pick.

Sure, we could probably make a separate trade to unload Kelly, but throwing in either of those guys adds a little more incentive for Columbus.

If he would go to SJ, he would go to LA and ANA I imagin... Not much of a difference. Even if its just those 5 teams, the Sens are set. In division and bubble teams all competing for the same guy, you're laughing.

No way Edmonton trades both of Gagner and Cogliano, yet alone one.

He's apparently been told not to bother giving East teams.

I agree they can't trade both, but one would have to come.

From an Edmonton fan (actually several):

From the Team 1260: 7:15AM Pacific time I guess

Bobby Mac thinks it has to be Hemsky+Gilbert, maybe even Gilbert+Cogs+Gags to get it done.

I think he's over-valuing Heater at this point...

I think it'd be easier if we throw one of Vish/Souray at 'em.

Are you saying that ornery old coot Bryan Murray is dictating his terms? lol Who'd have thunk it?

Okay, on to LA and SJ and Vancouver then. B-Mac says if they're not willing to part with that package + Gilbert OR Gilbert and Hemsky, they need not apply.

Anaheim might not be in it apparently. They're up against the cap and would want the Sens to take Perry + contract for Heatley. Doubtful Murray wants to go that direction - although he covets Perry.

Honestly? Probably no one that knows what they're talking about...actually scratch that, B-Mac is awesome. Don't know if that phrase was uttered from his lips though - or some nerd making up Dung.

I honestly hate even speculating what we would get for him, cause we are probably going to be disappointed.

I think these offers make the most sense, not overvaluing Heatley at all.

Would anyone do a Perry for Heatley straight up?

Oh Diddle, me neither. You want a guy that's average 45 goals per year for the last 4 years - with 5 years left on his contract? Prepare to give up a lot.
