Absolutely. He needs a change of scenery. The only issue is his size. It'll depend on what we get back for Heatley, but Gionta is a great (little) player.

we have a few small bodies all ready in our lineup, but since Comrie isn't coming back (better not be), Gionta is welcome on the sens anytime :^^:

I think (in GMs eyes) he gets a bye on the Atlanta thing due to the circumstances. This would be his first real walk out. Also, Ottawa has been in the media circus as a dysfunctional team, locker room etc. Hopefully this plays in our favor for once, where GMs think Heatley is running away from the problem rather than my take on it, where Heatley IS a problem.
