I wish we'd never traded Hossa. He is a better player then Heatley by far.

Once Hossa wins the Cup tonight I wonder if he would be willing to take a discount on his next contract to come back to where his career started.

I have to agree here, plus SPezza can turn any sniper into a 50 goal scorer. Man I really want Kovulchuk, what would the chances be?

Other names I'm hearing are Perry and Marleau in a package deal.

Getzlaf would love the chance to play with Heatley on an everyday basis, but we'd have to get Perry and their #1 pick hopefully!

Maybe but I don't know. Keeping Hossa would have made this team completely different then it is now. I bet we would still have Chara as well and I know that will anger you and others but it's true. We could have traded Redden instead of Hossa in 2005.

I would trade him straight up for the first overall, straight up for Phaneuf, straight up for the second overall, straight up for Kopitar, signed Bouwmeester.... There are many deals to be had. Bet Bryan Murray's Red Phone is ringing off the hook....

OK, just you mentioned Perry and Marleau in a package deal. I wouldnt be interested in Marleau as a looming UFA.

I am thinking you work the phones hard with Sutter right about now... Phaneuf apparently can be had and Heatley would have Calgary on his list I am sure.... I wouldn't do that deal yesterday but this is new info...

EDIT: Looking at my avatar, I wonder how Phaneuf and Ruutu get along... hahaha
