Why would you want Camalleri? That guy's a bum.

Seriously... Camalleri is Heatley v1.5... Not as good, but same attitude problem. No thanks.

Dont care what they are saying in the media, a 50 goal scorer wont be hard to move.

What? Why would we have a hard time (although, deep down, this was what I was afraid of).
$7.5M x 5 cap hit.

But, he's a 50-goal scorer, two years in a row... those don't grow on trees.

Other GMs know this.

So many things can be turned into a positive with this, so many. I'm literally the most excitted I've been since the finals hering this.

Again: Big Time Co-Sign!

Cheers

He's scored more goals post-lockout than all but 3 players, those being Ovechkin, Kovalchuk, and Hossa.

We can move him.

The sports media, for the most part, has the collective IQ of a chia pet. They still quote yearly salaries rather than cap hits, they speculate and try to pass it off as fact; in short, this is just another story, so they look into as deeply (read: not very) as any other sports story that comes across their desk.

But when you dig deeper, like we do up here, you realize just how valuable a commodity Heatley is around the NHL.

History has told us nothing if it hasn't told us this can be a really good thing. Although he is NOT Lindros, Colorado seemed to do okay in a similar situation, as have many teams... There are many examples of this. If you have a smart GM, this could be a good thing. I hated the Pizza line nickname anyway....

People shouldnt be mad, a high priced, 50 goal scorer, with no character or heart at all has asked for a trade that other teams might be willing to pay out the a$$ for.

If there was ever anything better to happen to the Sens off the ice in the last 10 years, I dont know what it is?

Luckily, we might have one of the smartest ones.

For teams with cap concerns it still won't be hard to move him if a little salary is coming back. I suspect a player in the 3 to 4m range would need to come back along with a quality prospect/s, and picks for teams with cap space issues. There are others that don't have as much concern. There also teams like LA, Anaheim, Nashville that have the cap space and could afford him.

I think that might be a direct result of last season's output.

I wish we'd never traded Hossa. He is a better player then Heatley by far.
