agreed 100%, if he goes to the west, he will get beat on as the game is rougher out there and he shies away from that stuff.

Set up your defense first. Ottawa might not have to use another 1st for a Dman for the next 5 years, seriously. We can load up with forward this year with 2 top 10 picks, 2 in the 2nd round perhaps, and the next 3 or 4 years in the first round.

This Heatley deal might very well make Ottawa the best team in the league 4 or 5 years down the road.

I don't really know if Colorado is looking for that kind of deal. They have too many holes in their roster to spend whatever little resources they have on one player.

Colorado has jack besides that 1st rounder.

LA has a top 5 pick, prospects up the A, and some moveable pieces that would fit right in with the Sens.

At this point, I see 2 very itneresting possibilities.
To LA for 5th overall and a couple of Defensemen prospects
To Phoenix for 6th overall and a couple of Forwards prospects. Mueller, Turris, Boedker, Hanzal... the list goes on.

Frolov would be a nice start.

San Jose is pretty thin up front, but also thin on a high pick.

Imagine if Ottawa dealt for forwards and then drafted OEL and Kulikov in the 1st round, haha WOW. I still want Tuebert more than anything though. I love that mean streak he has, he doesnt give a f***. Someone who will hurt someone else just because he enjoys it. Then use the 9th to draft Kassian, haha, wow, we would be just meaaaaan. Stick Bass in there with a mature Karlsson who like the roguh stuff, Ottawa would be feared beyond beliefe.

What about Edmonton?

Tom Gilbert, Sam Cogliano, Jordan Eberle (or another defensive prospect) and their first round pick 10th overall?

Easily doable I'd imagine.
