LA has a top 5 pick, prospects up the A, and some moveable pieces that would fit right in with the Sens.

Frolov would be a nice start.

San Jose is pretty thin up front, but also thin on a high pick.

Imagine if Ottawa dealt for forwards and then drafted OEL and Kulikov in the 1st round, haha WOW. I still want Tuebert more than anything though. I love that mean streak he has, he doesnt give a f***. Someone who will hurt someone else just because he enjoys it. Then use the 9th to draft Kassian, haha, wow, we would be just meaaaaan. Stick Bass in there with a mature Karlsson who like the roguh stuff, Ottawa would be feared beyond beliefe.

To LA for 5th overall and a couple of Defensemen prospects
To Phoenix for 6th overall and a couple of Forwards prospects. Mueller, Turris, Boedker, Hanzal... the list goes on.

What about Edmonton?

Tom Gilbert, Sam Cogliano, Jordan Eberle (or another defensive prospect) and their first round pick 10th overall?

Easily doable I'd imagine.

We can lay out all kinds of scenarios here. I think we can all agree that we just hit the jackpot roughly two weeks prior to the draft.

Murray better not Diddle this up. I mean it's hard to do, but so help him God, if the return we get for Heatley doesn't get a WOW out of me.

Murray is still the guy that got Luongo and Jokinen for Parrish and Kavasha. Murray brought in Gigeure in Anahiem. If there are two things Murray does well it's draft and make a trade, everything else is questionable though.

Murray knows what he is doing here, this is the guy you want at the helm right now. Thank God Muckler is gone.

that works for me, think Edmonton is game for that?

Heatley to Columbus for Rick Nash - make it happen. Columbus gets a player locked up for years at a pretty good price, at the expense of a great player, their captain, who is soon to become a UFA and likely might not re-sign. Very unlikely though, but my ideal scenario.

But Nash would probably get a better return than Heatley if dealt at the deadline next year.

Absolutely. They were willing to give up four first round picks for Vanek...and he hasn't been nearly as good as Heatley has been, although he might end up just as good down the road.

And then they were willing to give Marian Hossa $81-million for 9 years.

It's clear Edmonton will do whatever it takes to get a star winger. Dangle a 50G/100P player in front of their face...you'll say jump, and they'll say how high?

I really liked 504Heater. It's gonna take time to get used to the new one. But it's good...kind of Seinfeld-ish for some reason too.

If we can get Hodgson back with their 1st and Sauve or something, I think that would work as well.

Hodgson with Spezza in 3 or 4 years could very well be as deadly up front as anything in the EC. Need some forwards along side them though.
