Egor Afanasyev sounds like a great pick at 19. HUGE guy, soft hands.

Anyone know anything about him?

I ask mostly because the prospect guy on HF I listen to the most, BondraTime is big on him too.

I've only seen youtube highlights but I like what I see. Not sure about 19, but if the draft is all over the place then who knows. I got a lot of respect for a Russian coming to play in the USHL.

Afanasyev is the guy I booted from my 1st round mock draft when you noticed I forgot Seider. He has a high shot volume, tons of flair and confidence, can stick handle with the best of them, has size and strength. His only issue, and it comes with his size is his first couple steps and his overall quickness. It’s almost impossible to be his age and size and have those things though.

Yeah, that and you have to respect his 6'4" 200+ pounds and soft hands.

Just for fun and bragging rights. +2 for every correct pick and -1 for every spot wrong. What I mean by that last part is for example we picked Byram to go 4th and he goes 7th, we get -3 for his name.

We should both be like -20 by the end of it. I always compare my mock to McKenzie and Button’s when finished too.

I think Kaliyev alone could put us both -12 or so because I can see him dropping big time. Lazy lazy player.

Word sounds good. Yeah Kaliyev will most likely drop a bit but I think sens could snag him for his goal scoring . We’ll see

I’m not a fan from what I’ve seen. These small players have not done well in playoffs recently. I’m glad the sens didn’t have the chance .

Best goal scorer in the draft. I wouldn’t pass on that
