I picked him in the poll to see who'd have a breakout season this year, and I believed that he would. Still, I had no idea he'd put together a season like this. What a great surprise he's been.

I boldly predicted, several days ago, that the Stoner would reel in the top rookies and overtake the freshman scoring race. Looks like I'll probably be right again. As usual.

Hate the Leafs and how their fans come into our building, making it their territory. At least now we don't have our captain booed every time he touches the puck. But now you've got to think all of Leafs Nation is in Tank Nation so I doubt we will see nearly as many blue/white jerseys in the crowd as in the past. Sens are the ticket in town now and you'll see a lot more Sens fans showing up. Atmosphere should be pretty electric.

Leafs still have Reimer, who loves playing here for some unknowable reason. Kessel kills them, too. Kadri is suspended. Don't think there are any other meaningful injuries, are there? They just lost to San Jose who have played badly, lately, and Horachek said it was like a pro team against a non-pro team; also said that all his leaders gave given up.

Still, this is the Battle of Ontario. They are 1-1 against them this season (I was there in November when the Sens lost 5-3 -- it was awful). They were back in January in the middle of that awful slide when the Sens handed them their 6th straight loss. After that game both teams had 47 points (Ottawa had 2 games in hand). It's not like the Sens knocked them out of playoffs contention, but you'd think the Leafs would love nothing more than rub it in by taking away the two points; and also rub management's nose in it a bit, too.

Can't let up.

He said that? We all see it but wow.

That game the Sens built up a 3-0 lead but then the Leafs scored in the last 6 minutes of the second and the first 3 of the third and it was dicey for a while until Karlsson potted his second (Pageau with the assist).

Simply can't let up. Leafs will be bringing it after being embarrassed last night.

I didn't hear/see the actual quote but TGOR was talking about it. I'll have to look it up.

I found the other quote (pro team against non-pro team):

This all seems like stuff worthy of discussion in the thread for THAT GAME.

Asked what he thinks about the future of this team when the leaders continue to play flat:
Not good. Not good. We've got to be driven by those, those ... your best players ... and we can't get a start and we can't get the work ethic that is acceptable.

Maybe that's what they were referring to -- it was actually more the reporter asking the question but Horachek certainly did not defend them.

Two AGDTs (Advanced Game Day Threads) in a row?

It would appear that way.

He's good at everything. It's hard to believe how far he's come.

The puck is following Turris right now. It's neat, when he's cold, the puck bounces away, when he's hot he always seems to make a play then get the puck back.

Pageau, Condra and lazar...what can you say. Special line right now - and I don't see why they can be for some time.

You have a special twosome with Pageau and Condra. Lazar is actually preventing that line from really breaking out but Pageau and Condra are so good it's easy not to see that. That missed open net could have cost us the game.

I have no Cussing idea how Lazar missed that net, but if that had cost us, he would've had a tough time living that down anytime soon.

Not really. He's the golden boy and can do no wrong in most people's eyes. Laughing3

I actually wonder if he knew the net was empty? The announcers made zero mention of it...it seemed to catch people by surprise. Still though, I freaked out.

Oh well. I guess he'll have to wait a little longer to pot his 4th.
