He is trying to stir things up and get some energy into this crew. I hope he makes other teams hate playing us because that is why he is there. Ottawa could handle having a little bit more of an edgy side. Spezza is exponentially better but he should be considering his contract is exponentially bigger than Vermette's.

Hahaha, that actually made me laugh out loud.

I loved what Ruutu did hahaha, why the hell not do that, whats he gonna get a penalty? He wont be suspended, lol, good for him.

At least we have a goaltender finally. And he's young enough to do this for a lot longer.

Not to be an arse-hole, but if Fisher has to be injured...it would be much better from our POV if it was a season ender. That would give us absurd amounts of cap space.

No, I'm just sick of people Dung on Spezza's play. I know there are people that do the same about Vermette as well, and rightfully so. Spezza can be the best player out there and it's still not enough for some of you.

I'll just agree to disagree with you on Ruutu. If you want to take a chance by putting an agitator in the shootout when the other team is sending out snipers and danglers, then you deserve to lose. It's Dung.

I hate to criticize the coaching, but that was just a bad choice. If anyone saw the skills competition then they'd agree that we should send Volchenkov out there before Ruutu.

I completely agree... he's always injured, but not enough to relive the cap hit. Ottawa needs a durable team.

I hate to say it, but these guys have to go: Vermette and Fisher. Fisher will be a tough sell though.

Ok, your not listening to me, Ruutu has been sucessful in the shoot out in Ottawa and in Pittsberg. What does it matter if he pisses people off?

As long as Alfi is on the ice with Spezza, he will never be the best player out there, ever.

Who cares if he's been successful in the past, he's not the best one out there. What does it matter if he pisses people off by shooting the puck at the goalie on a second chance, in a shootout? The fact that it's dirty and if it happened against Ottawa you'd be pissed.

Please, Alfredsson is not always the best player out there.

So who thinks that because they came close to winning the game tonight that Murray will hold off on any trades? I will be at the MTL game Thursday night so I am wondering if this almost win will rejuvenate the Sens or discourage them further.

I would say Alfredsson is the best player on the ice 90% of the time for both teams, and is by far and away the best player on the Sens...

Who cares if it was dirty, if that helps the team win on Sat because the Rangers want to get back at him and forget the game plan, then how was that not a great little thing to do. Obviously I would hate it, haha, but he is on our team, who cares.

Heatley never scores in the shootout, and Ruutu does, so what on earth makes you say Ruut shouldnt be there over a few guys. Results are results and facts are facts, Ruutu can get it done in the shootout.

I mean they played better, but the Rags dont exactly have 3, 4 solid lines coming at ya, Montreal does. If we cant compete with the teams in our division thats a big problem, and so far we are 1-3 I believe. Montreal will be the telling game in my opinion, that will be the make or break game.

I would have loved to seen some of the younger guys in the shoot out. That is not to say that we piss it all away with younger guys but if the Rangers don't know some of these guys (i.e. Bell) it would have been interesting to see how they would have done.

Zubov might have been a good choice. The shootout is what it is though, its jsut a stunt and a crap shoot. The Sens record in shootouts isnt great even with just the big 3 shooting.

Saturday's game is game 20 I believe. Murray said that he didn't want to do anything until mid-season. It will be interesting to see who he moves if we lose the next 2 games.

25% over on Sat, that should be enough time to evaluate a team, its needs, and what they should be focusing on.

I thought Bell was excellent. Here is hoping that they keep him up for the rest of the week. But then send him back down to Bingo. I am heading down there this weekend to watch a couple of games and I want them to win.
