No way Shubert goes back in after the game Bell player. I think Bell may have just found himself a full time gig in the NHL, especially with our lack of mobile, puck moving D, good for him. Great guy to happen to, especially in his own city.

Oh, Islanders gained a point on us haha. Thats actually a big point now haha.

What was with the shoot out choices? Man... Ruutu? I would have liked to see Alfie in there, Zubov maybe even Winch. Vermette and Spezza have struggled... sigh... oh well.

Can someone get the shootout numbers for players, because I wanna see how Ruutu matches up against everyone else. Zubov may have been a good move though, no scouting report on the guy so.

I can understand where Hartsy was going with Ruutu - chances are Lundqvist has no idea how he'd shoot or what his tendencies are... but really. Stick with the bread and butter at this point in time.

I also believe he scored on Smith in the shootout against Tampa this year.

It's a fairly well documented fact that Ruutu is an above-average shootout option.

He wasnt a bad choice, I mean if people want to comment they should know the history behind it a bit, I was not the least bit surprised when I saw him shoot second, I was expecting it.

Ruutu's one of the top shootout guys in the entire league. That was pretty much the only reason I was excited we got him at the time (I know now that's he's pretty darn good too).

Bell looked great out there tonight. Made nice sharp passes out of the zone. Would have been nice to see something more on the powerplay, but I imagine he'll adjust.

Ya man, hes solid. Shooting the puck after its over is just a bonus, that still makes me laugh.

Hahaha. That's so true for me too. I literally never paid attention to the guy - unless he happened to piss me off during a game and I'd yell at him. Never knew what he brought to the table, with the exception of the shootout thing. He burned us a few times with it. Boo (buy yay that he's on our awesome team).
