Mixed reports on barrie. Apparently he's not very reliable defensively. Was reading comments from avs fans and it's mixed.

A 5th round pick maybe? Would there be more than 1 team making an offer? He might be included in a package too...

Hardest thing to teach is size and he's already learned that. Hmm, maybe we should just keep him.

On the other hand, a 5th rounder could develop into a Jamie Benn, a Mike Hoffman or a Mark Borowiecki. Tough choices.

I like the kid he seems like good people but I wouldn't want him unless it was to play in the AHL right now.

It's frustrating because he actually started to play much better in the latter half of last season. I dunno...I could see getting rid of him if it means Nick Paul or maybe a decent FA gets  permanent roster spot.

After having a rib removed in that surgery I think there are huge question marks on how effective he can be, now. He may never be able to shoot as hard as he did before.

I don't think they do at this point. Their playoff success and the litany of re-signings that team has will be his ticket out of town. Yzerman should have moved him at the dudline.

They also didn't win without him.

I think they could have him signed for 10 mill.
If I were them I'd do it, try for the cup next year and then probably move bishop at the deadline or lose him for nothing at the end. Deal with the cap next year. They will be in cap hell but that's never fully stopped Chicago.

Even with a NTC on stamkos they could move him then if they have to. I'm sure Toronto would do it for something stupid. That way you have him for another run and you're not losing it for nothing

I think Tampa kisses and makes up with Drouin and doesn't go a penny over 9.5 fir stamkos. And I don't see why stamkos is worth anything over that, he's won nothing.

I think you are right on both counts. And that may be the problem on the later.
Some club will be an idiot and overpay for stamkos in FA.

Maybe stamkos goes to FA checks what offers are like and circles back to Tampa? Does he loses his availability to get 8 years if he does that?

Benji1 who is a pretty solid guy for sens info, says that if a long term extension isn't in place by the draft, they'll move Hoffman. I read on hf just now.
