So far no takers on Kassian? BS. Not willing to pay the insane overpayment the Canucks want and in all respects should be asking for? That I believe.

If the Canucks want to just move Kassian then they will have no problem doing it but they won't give him away for nothing. For help right now and a few more years of "contending" with the Sedins, they would probably move him but the Sens don't really have that player unless you could Michalek and I don't think the Canucks do that either.

Chiasson + a 3rd would probably get you Kassian. But...is it worth it?

That trade should be a one for one, I don't see any reason to add to Chiasson.

I would trade Chaisson and a 2nd for Kassian no problem. Kassian is better at basically everything and great in terms of playing to his size.

Do I even have 5 untouchables? Don't confuse Hoffman for an untouchable, I just don't personally see the point in trading him when he's producing at a near 30 goal clip as an (older) rookie.

Ottawa wouldn't do that. Maybe a straight swap but no 2nd needs to be involved.

No 2nd needed, perhaps a 3rd or sweetener though.

Just saying what I would do and what I think the Canucks would want.

There is no way they trade Kassian for Chiasson straight up. A guy with less time in the NHL, plays an infinite amount less physical, probably the same type of goal scorers, but Kassian probably having more upside. Why on earth would Vancouver make that move?

You pay for what you need and the Sens need a Kassian a lot more than they need a Chaisson and I believe that diff is absolutely a 2nd round pick. Maybe not this years but next years wouldn't be so bad.

I'd sweeten that deal even more by adding Phillips + Neil + Greening.
