Trade Deadline BONANZA 2015

You pay for what you need and the Sens need a Kassian a lot more than they need a Chaisson and I believe that diff is absolutely a 2nd round pick. Maybe not this years but next years wouldn't be so bad.

I'd sweeten that deal even more by adding Phillips + Neil + Greening.

Went too far with Greening, didn't I.

I don't find chiasson plays with any kind of lack of physicality. It's the fact that he commits fouls a lot whist doing it.

Such an odd catch 22. A team like Montreal could probably use greening, but no contender can afford his cap hit - and rightfully so. If we ate a million of that...perhaps.

He did at the beginning of the year, but it's fallen off since then. I wouldn't be surprised if he's nursing some kind of injury (like Bobby R last year) that will need surgery or rehab in the off-season.

Only way I trade Chaisson is for a guy like Kassian, otherwise you are just spinning your wheels trying to find that PF.

As for his "fouls"... rather see an elbow or roughing call than a hook or trip. Pretty big difference between the two players being discussed.

A power forward rides the edge, but doesn't put his team down especially when on the offensive zone. And it got him scratched. That and not driving the net properly.

It takes a long, long time with these guys. We all know it. There's a lot to learn as a PF. It's never a lack of effort with him - or rarely - it's emotion.

Yeah , he was good last night. Did well in making the habs dmen follow him to the net. Retrieved a few pucks, won some battles.

PF can also make the other teams life a living hell... I don't see Chaisson really becoming that guy but you don't just ship him off either.

Kassian is at that point where he breaks out once he is solidified in a role, who ever he ends up with is going to get a damn fine player IF he's put in a position to succeed. In Vancouver he was put next to the Sedin's and expected to score 25-30 goals as basically a rookie. Stupid move to say the least.

How come you don't think he can make other team's life a living hell? I think he could with time, patience and coaching, but it depends on who you could get back for him.

I'm not sure about kassian being better in the long run. It's easy to say that now, but what's their age difference?
