You don't trade Cowen for the sake of trading him, you trade him if the deal is right. Would you trade Cowen straight up for a top 15 pick in this draft? IMO yes. Would you trade him as part of a package for an upgrade at center/forward? IMO yes. Would you trade him for a similar player you are unfamiliar with or an equal up front? IMO no. A late 1st rounder in any draft? IMO no.
SSF mentioned a deal with Chicago, I see the logic but I don't think Ottawa is ready to make that deal exactly. I'll just lay it back to ROR because I think that's Ottawa's biggest target.
