I think the average fan forgets that they have families who go to school here. In the case of Phillips he's got kids and a business here, not to mention the years of community service work. It's a lot easier to trade a 22 year old than it is a 38 year old.

And one that hasn't dedicated his life to the city and community within it. It's a very vocal, very small minority that does it but their voice are loud enough that everyone hears them.

I wouldn't trade Stone for anything right now. He'll be a cornerstone for this franchise for a long time. He's still developing and he's only 23.

I'd consider trading one of Turris or MacArthur, and for sure Chiasson, but certainly not Stone.

Chaisson you can trade for an upgrade at PF with an edge... Kane or Kassian are both out there and I think Kassian may be the better option as he can really change a game with his size and a bit of offense. Still think there is something in him that a team will get out of him.

My untouchables: Karlsson, Ryan and Stone. "the offer better be real good" for: Hoffman

That's it.

Well I can't see winipeg wanting a package without either stone or Hoffman in it going the other way. Chiasson is a stretch, a very long stretch.

OK how about this?

We trade Neil and a 4th for that 1st. We trade Legwand and a 5th for another 1st. We offer 3 1sts, Lazar and Ceci for McDavid. KABLAM!!!!

Here we go.

Wasn't it all over twitter today that Murray asked Neil if he wanted to be moved and Neil said "No thanks", so "out of respect" for Neil Murray is closing the books on that potential trade?

Except that Ceci is the other untouchable. And "Double-Trouble" Lazar will only fetch an appropriate return from Edmonton.

Hey it's your NHL14, you do what you want with it. But easy on the controls, your knuckles are turning white.

I'll be surprised if legwand gets us anything more then a mid round pick.

I wouldn't trade Ceci, Turris, Ryan, Karlsson, lazar and I wouldn't see the point on moving MacArthur or Lehner unless it was a slam dunk.

The rest id think about, some more than others obviously.

Oh and Hoffman. Can't see a scenario where id ship out a young guy who is fast and scores.

That's an awful long list for a team that should basically be blown to smithereens.

That's probably because I think we're about...one top line forward maybe two top line forwards, but I think that's probably overkill.

And then time for the kids to mature. That's it IMO. Maybe you replace Zibanejad with a top tiered C, but that's easier said than done and probably short sighted.

I forgot stone who I wouldn't trade unless the offer was amazing.
