Neither one of those guys put them self ahead of the team... immature? Sure. Ill advised nights out? Absolutely. Being a complete a$$hole and knowingly breaking team rules... not to mention not having played all that well the last 2 seasons after signing a huge deal... not the same.

E.Kane has a ton of growing up to do and maybe he does just need a fresh start and to move on for things to click but again HUGE risk.

Seguin had his issues as a 19/20 year old coming off a 67 point (+34) season

Evander Kane has never even come close to 67 points a season (most 57 points) and is having those issues as a 23/24 year old.

Big difference.

I would also lump Pat Kane in with Seguin, not Evander.

Best mentor for him is probably someone who's turned it around like Mike Ribiero?

OUT: Turdiss (trade), Lazar (AHL) IN: Ribiero (UFA), Kane (trade)

LET'S DO IT!!!!

All the same thing. Kane is not a pure points guy like those two. It's worth it to buy low on him.

That's the other thing, haha. Seguin and P.Kane are both world class players on the ice even if they are DB's off it. What has Kane done in his NHL career to warrant being in any kind of conversation with those two?

Winning and producing you get a little leeway... both have cups. E.Kane has nothing other than 1 really good season and the rest are decent.

We don't know what Kane's issues are and let's not try to act like we do.

He just needs a change of scenery.

Seguin contributed a lot to their cup win.

I would move Turris for Kane for sure.

He just needs a change of scenery.

Does those two statements completely contradict each other? We don't know what the issues are but here's the solution?

I'm not pretending to know anything about what Kane does off the ice (other than what's been given to us by him) but to say all he needs is a change of scenery? Could very well be more than that. What if it's rehab he needs? What if it's a night in jail? What if it's humiliation and being humbled?

You're right, no one knows so don't state what's needed.

Ev, right now you are making arguments with no facts or real sound logic behind it. You like the player, fine but saying he's like Turris then saying he's like Seguin then saying well we don't know what's wrong but this is what he needs...

I don't like him that much, but he's obviously a guy who people Dung on without even knowing a thing about him or what he does. He's a good player, a good power forward. Not a huge scorer and never will be. He's obviously soured in Winnipeg so he does need a change of scenery. You are right that he has done something wrong to be soured on by two coaches.

This is like in the NFL when every player like this gets snatched up by the Patriots and they end up not being a problem player at all.

Lehner confirmed as the starter for tomorrow. Could be a third straight good outing for him.

If only the Sens were the Pats... either way it's risk and that's all I am saying.

I would absolutely love to have E.Kane in Ottawa and I believe the group is strong enough to keep him focused. Well, focused enough to win some hockey games.
I think Bobby Ryan and Kyle Turris' demeanours have an impact on other young new players coming to Ottawa. That plus guys who get traded usually grow up mentally by a couple years.

Now, the price to get him, no idea.

I'll be partying with E. Kane in a few weeks, I'll let you know what kind of DB he really is.

It's ok, I've been around enough to know what to expect.
