As for San Jose, same kind of deal, they all think they can win this year. Niemi is going the other way for sure and probably a 1st round pick. If Ottawa can end up having 3, 1st round picks in this draft that would be fantastic but the general idea of that happening to Ottawa is not realistic.

Then why even trade for him? That's a comment that's based on absolutely nothing other than an opinion of a 4th line grinder. Guess what? Guys that show up and play those tough 8-10 minutes are what win cups.
So yah, if a team believe that's the last piece they need, Neil, Vermette, or otherwise you make that move.
