Feel a bit stupid wasting all that time last night and earlier today clicking like an idiot.  I guess the Blues have more idiot fans.

I don't think I'd watch that show.

It's ironic. Yes, I posted in the wrong thread, but it actually *was* something I was "watching" yesterday and the night before.

I'm on season 2 of Fringe on Netflix and slowly working my way through House of Cards. Now that I'll be off a year I should plow right through'm. DareDevil seems like a good one to start from what I'm hearing.

It's pretty dark and violent, similar to the last 3 Batman films. Lots of blood and bones snapping etc. Awesome!

It's pretty much a 13 hour "Daredevil Begins".

Coming June 5 (12 episodes). "Sense8" a new Netflix series from the Wachowski brothers -- umm -- siblings. JMS (Babylon 5) is the show runner. Main characters are pretty much unknowns but some familiar names in the surrounding cast (Naveen Andrews -- Sayid from Lost; Joe Pnatoliano - "Guido" from Risky Business or "Cypher" from The Matrix; Darryl Hannah - mermaid from Splash).

Wachowskis haven't made a good film since the Matrix.

I really like #2. In many ways more than #1.

As for the Wachowskis, "V For Vendetta" and "Cloud Atlas" were supposed to be pretty good (haven't seen either one). "Jupiter Ascending" was widely panned. They really haven't done very much since the last Matrix (the ones above plus Speed Racer, which was OK for what it was).

I keep hearing that. Maybe I'll start watching it while on the elliptical. But the upstairs TV only has the chromecast dongle so I can't watch Netflix without my tablet. And that's not working too well Sad

V for Vendetta (correctly italicized, rather than incorrectly placed inside quotation marks) is excellent. I highly recommend that flick. I remember wanting to see Cloud Atlas. I should remedy that.

Notice how I said "The Matrix" not Matrix Reloaded or Matrix Revolutions. Laugh1

I didn't think the sequels were that bad. But the first was their last holy Dung film.

Hey, spader, if there is a book on how to properly cite movies, books and other source material on hockey message boards then I my parents probably could not afford it. But they were good people for pretty much everything else.

Well, as I suspected (even after reading all the rave reviews) Avengers - Age of Ultron was too busy, too loud. The story was too ludicrous (some jewel-like thingy is actually an extremely advanced computer? and yet somehow overnight -- with no API, no physical interface -- are the thought patterns in big-endian or little-endian? -- nothing at all except some ridiculous notion, Stark and Banner interface to it and create some AI; a very interesting bit of voice casting here). Back in my day Banner wasn't a computer genius, there weren't many computers around.

Whatever, I certainly didn't dislike it as much as Transformers but these Avengers movies are just too busy for me. On the other hand I really enjoyed both Captain America movies, and the firt Iron Man (didn't see the latest one). I guess I prefer it when they focus on a single supe.

Anyhow, if you like playing Super Smash Bros you'll enjoy it.

P.S. The whole movie I was sitting there wondering who was the voice of Ultron. I just *knew* that I knew who it was, recognized it almost immediately, an actor that I watch regularly, just couldn't figure it out until the credits. The Blacklist is one of my favorite shows, how could I not recognize Spader?

That's too bad about the new Avengers movie. I'd heard it wasn't nearly as good as the first one. Some of these comic book movies are just silly.

I thought the Thor ones were pretty good in addition to the ones you mention, Prags.

I actually recorded Thor (first one) when it was playing on AMC or something like that, and I watched it in bits and pieces over a couple of weeks. It was pretty good but I just kept laughing at Anthony Hopkins trying to play "BIG" next to Hemsworth. I could take him as Odin when standing next to Loki, that's about it. Plus, in general, the whole idea of Norse Mythology in the Marvel superhero universe is kinda hokey.

But, yea, same thing, with just one superhero you can spend more time on story/plot and less on CGI.

What am I watching? I'm watching this spader superhero run the gamut. It's been a while.
