EDIT: Although I should have said thanks for posting that, I'm trying to get up to speed with the draft.
What do you mean big if?

SpezDispenser wrote:It's not that trading Lehner may or may not make sense, it's the fact that you have a guy with all the criteria in the system to be a major part of a Cup run. Lehner has the pedigree, he's won a championship in the organization already, he's young, he's under control, he has stunning competitiveness, he's cool.
Trading him would be a mistake. Rather just go with our roster than make a move involving him or Silfverberg. Other guys...maybe, those 2...no.
That said...look out, if Alfie comes back (which he will IMO), Murray might try to hit a couple of huge home runs via trade or UFA to land a couple of game breakers to try to win next year (which would still be damn cool).

You think they're trading that pick?

There's a bit of a contradiction here. If they swing for the fences in a trade, they're probably trading people that we assign a lot of value to. Two of those guys are Lehner and Silf.

Also, I too will be enraged if Penner is a Sen next year. In other news, you have a typo in your sig. Drop the "s" in Senators, or, alternately, change it to "Sen"

well I didn't even notice I had a sig. I didn't even write that lol
SpezDispenser wrote:Boy, I'd have a hard time with Lehner being dealt personally. A goalie with that much battle in him combined with that much skill is hard to find.

SensChirp tweeted that he thought that meant a defensive D-man and a scoring forward, but not sure if that's his guess or Murray said that.

It has also been rumoured that Murray is going after Rick Nash... believe that when I see it... but who knows. It would cost the Sens 1st round pick this year... Ben Bishop... and what else? Question is.. would Nash waive to come to Ottawa. It was rumoured he would go to Toronto.. but who has a better chance of being the better team faster... or even now...
As long as it is not Penner.... or anyone over 30...

Yup. Here are some notable tweets from Ian Mendes:
Peter Regin says his shoulder is better. As for free agent status: "I hope we can get something done so I can come back here."
Carkner says he could have done something "drastic" to his knee to play Game 7. But he probably wouldn't have been able to play next series.
Don't expect a decision on Alfredsson's future before middle of May. If he plays for Sweden at Worlds, that delays decision even more.
Winchester confirms he dealt with concussion symptoms in Game 4 -- and that's why he left series. Doesn't know how/when it happened.
