wouldn't be surprised to see Ottawa be interested in Clayton Stoner out of Minnesota. Big guy (6'3" 225), tough, blocks shots, hits, competes, shoots left. Was Captain in the AHL. Don't think Minnesota will let him go but he would be an option for what Murray wants.

another guy who I like is Milan Jurcina. He has a bomb from the point, had 173 hits and 116 blocks in 65 games this year. Another big guy at 6'4" 253. Shoots right.

third is Shaone Morrison. Not as big as the other two but hits and blocks just as much. Shoots left.

all these guys are under 30 too

Yeah, Jurcina might be an option. Morrison too potentially.

They'd miss with that D in my opinion. That's pushing your luck a bit.

There's still a re-build plan and I doubt they alter it too drastically.

I'd be fine with that lineup personally.

Foligno - Turris - Alfie / Zib if the Cap'n retires - Parise if we're really lucky

Hudler is my (blind) guess for the UFA forward, if they choose to go that route. Fills the need that Murray expressed in his presser. Hudler provides the 20-25 goals, and has experience with Paul MacLean as well. Never a bad thing to add a Red Wing to your roster.

also I'm dumb, Shaone Morrisonn didn't even play in the NHL this year.

Would have bet Morrisonn played this year...huh.
