I agree with what you're saying that he won't get assigned to Binghamton, but he would not hate it and would not be opposed to going to the AHL. He has already stated such, so has Silfverberg, etc. They will do whatever the team asks of them. Sure for guys from Stockholm it's a bit of a drag living in Binghamton, but for other guys from small Swedish towns, it's not that big of a deal.
I've said before that I could see him never playing Binghamton as it's very, very rare for a top Swedish pick to play in the AHL.
It's usually straight to the NHL for them.
Unless they happen backstop their team to the Calder Cup as a rookie, winning the MVP award while doing it as a teenager. Then you get to stay another two years.
Lehner's not a high pick Swede. And he's a goalie.
I'm talking Top 10 picks.
You never said that. We were discussing Sens prospects. Zibanejad is the only one who is top-10.
